About:
MEET THE ARTIST

I was born in Tellicherry, in the State of Kerala, India. I immigrated to the United States with my wife and two daughters 42 years ago in 1971, and now am a proud grand father of 4. My passion to paint was greatly influenced by my childhood years in scenic Kerala, the land that Peter Miller called “Paradise” in National Geographic. I have lived in Goshen, a small town in Indiana for 39 years and feel deeply connected with our local community. My paintings focus mainly on Kerala from my nostalgic memories, though I do enjoy painting subjects from other parts of India. My earlier paintings were in water color, but now my medium is acrylic and oil on canvas. Living in the U.S., I have painted scenes from the West which include the life and legends of Native Americans, land scapes, sea scapes and city scapes. Some of my recent oils include a “River Front” of the 19th Century Savannah, Georgia. I have had several one-man shows, and some of my work are in private collections in India, Sri Lanka and Germany though most are here, in United States.
